Counseling Services

Why Counseling?

The college years are exciting, but also sometimes stressful. Many students encounter obstacles that interfere with their studies, with their relationships, and with their peace-of-mind and well-being.

In addition to the natural stresses that occur in college, some students come to college having been treated for mood or other psychological and psychiatric issues. Professional and caring counselors can assist students to not only to deal with their present issues but also to use them as opportunities for growth. Many students report that counseling helps them to gain more satisfying personal lives and successful academic careers.

Counseling services are available at no cost to all Winona Campus undergraduate students.

How Do I Begin Counseling?

To schedule an appointment with our counselor, login to Penji using your SMUMN SSO information. There is no limit to sessions, so please schedule as often as you need.
