Services

There is no cost for services provided by Student Health Services. 

Any services, prescriptions or referrals off-campus are the financial responsibility of the student.

Acute Care – evaluation and management of minor illness and injury

Support for Chronic Conditions – support for students with ongoing health conditions

Immunizations – Tetanus/diphtheria vaccination is available on a limited basis

Tuberculosis Testing – available Monday–Wednesday for at-risk students or those requiring screening

Medical Supplies – loan of equipment including: crutches, ice/heat packs, compression wraps

Over-the-Counter (OTC) Medications – a limited supply of OTC medications is available

Laboratory Testing – rapid strep testing, mononucleosis testing, dipstick urinalysis, urine pregnancy testing, hemoglobin testing, glucose testing

Physical Exams – sports physicals, pre-operative exams, internship/volunteer/camp physicals

Mental Health – medication management for some mental health conditions (primarily depression/anxiety)

Prescription Medication – most medications can be prescribed, as needed.  Prescription medications are not stocked in Health Services must be filled at area pharmacies.  Controlled substances, including medications for ADD/ADHD are not prescribed by Health Services

Health Education – individual education session, pamphlets and a variety of health education resources are available

Consultation and Referral – evaluation and recommendation for follow-up at external healthcare facilities based on the acuity and level of care required

Diagnostic and Treatment Orders – laboratory tests, x-rays, physical therapy orders
